Re: August 2018 - a day is coming D-Command ES

Just got a D-Control for a very reasonable price. Totally psyched, beautiful desk!
One thing I note is that the new Avid desks seem a little chintzy compared to the solid (and heavy D-Control).

Re: ICON D-Control In-Depth Tutorial videos

I too would be very appreciative of having access to these tutorial videos.
Any chance someone can YouTube them or post them somewhere?

Thanks.

Re: C|24 and SSL Sigma

I use PT12.
The way it worked previously is that I could create 16 MIDI tracks as set them as controllers of the Sigma. The 16 tracks would come up as faders on the C|24.

Now the Sigma uses delta...

C|24 and SSL Sigma

I was wondering if anyone out there is using a C|24 with an SSL Sigma summing amp.

Recently I "had" to upgrade to delta and I don't like using the plugins to automate the SSL because I don't have...

Re: Thread ripper 1950x

This looks interesting. I have always used Intel builds but this AMD chip looks pretty good. Let us know if you go ahead with this and the performance of your system.

A great place to check out...

Re: The Best Mix in the History of Rock and Roll (using commercial songs as a guide)

Heart Shaped Box has a horrible edit (at least it sounds like an edit) when that guitar comes in off the break. It always bugged me.

Madonna has some good stuff. Take a listen to Don't Tell Me -...

Re: New HDX Install on Windows

Much appreciated Brandon.
It turns out it was even more simple than that. I had some trouble with physically placing the card itself because one of my PCIe slots is funky. The same thing happened...

Re: Autotuned vocals

I use Melodyne too.
Not trying to scoop the other posters as I'm too busy to take on outside work.

Melodyne is wonderful and easy to use - my favorite tuning program (try it on a guitar solo). As...

New HDX Install on Windows

I am a relative novice with respect to Pro Tools but have some experience with other DAWs. I am hoping for some advice/insight from the more experienced users.

Recently I had to abandon my old DAW...

Re: HDX card not recognized

This may sound silly - but I had a problem with my Focusrite RedNet PCIe card. Their technical support asked me to try it in a different slot. That worked for me.

I would try that - and/or...
