Thanks. I totally missed that class. I just ass-you-me-ed that PT MP would let me use the built-in audio, since it works with PT Free. PT free does use DAE...just in a different way, I guess.

Not sure what that means. Were the files downloaded from a website? Maybe they're mp3 files? In which case they need to be converted. I don't belive that PT can work with mp3.

Try holding down the X key at startup. That's supposed to boot you into OSX, even when your startuop disk is set for 9.

Have you tried re-installing OSX? If so, do a clean install.
