hey you might want to reconsider and go with 10 the channel strip and delay compensation are nice features plus have you checked the vid on the UA sight about how UA plugs were redesigned to play...

installed , copied over to new volume (2) so just PTX is there and then deleted license sub solder from system file( volume 1) , booted PTX 10.1.1 and everything is working fine.

Hi Thx.

Understood. I also use Steven Slate Drums 4.0 so have put that on the VI drive. Its working fine after I changed the license and file path.

I thought the Vi drive might be overkill...

IF drivers are installed press N on the keyboard hold it down as you open protools until pop up can you select your mbox ?

PTX should automatically recognize your mbox but you may need to do it...

Sounds pointless you should be able to daisy chain 3-4 FW devices w/o problems but if you mix 8 with 4 it all slows down to 400. External FW 800...
