The drive is in HFS mode which the pro tools / mac thing.
Even though it says "audio files is not on playback, it bloody-well is. THey lying.
Might try the mac os extended, however it seriously is...

Get the old message, "not set to playback" pissing me off. I delete prefs etc, restart, sometimes fixes sometimes not. for some reason it just doesnt work sometimes - like now!...

Just acquired a cubase LE4 set up and thought id install it etc. It certainly is alot of messing around compared with PT. Not straight forward at all....

i had bluetooth on which i think was messing with it. 9 times outta ten its operator error aye....all good now

This system of mine works well and is easy to dismantle if need be. it also looks fine and is compact and expandable making it versatile.

ive built my own one for about $400 using 6 * 600mm by 2400mm boards hinged together. The inside has acoustic foam and carpet and the outside has carpet and underlay. I have about 5cm gap at the top...

Check digis compatibilty pages. I had a WD drive when i didnt have a clue about compatibilty and it didnt work well.
Just get an approved Drive.
