Re: PT-->Max-->PT

Re: Reason Rewire Crashes my PT6.4 MAC G4 Rig. Anything I can do?

I found this to be an issue with later versions of protools, IN 7.4.2 and in 8, I needed to remove the plugins for rewire and melodyne from library>audio>plugins>components in order to get everything...

Re: Automation questions...

You could also right click on any parameter and select learn, then it'll learn the assignment for the next knob/fader you move.. pretty slick when you don't have much time to be reading product...

Re: Question on Headphones

I find KRK's decent, but they color your sound a lot when compared to HS50ms or NS10s, or any consumer level speaker you'd encounter in the 'real world'.

Re: Question on Headphones

Sometimes, mixing in cans can be catastrauphic! First, realize that monitors all have some form of crossover in them, this attenuates or augments your signal. Headphones do not, so in the headphones,...

Re: I have a question on Mastering

Most home studio peeps and pros alike think they can do a good master at home.. I'd highly recommend against this. Try to keep compression to a minimum, try not to use limiters at all if you can help...

Re: The Best Studio Headphone

The Sennheisers are ok, but they color the low mids, and the cups will give you motion sickness as they are a little too intense on the glands..
I recently bought Sony's flat, great sig to noise...

Re: Sorry for the newb question, just scored 002 rack

There are drivers on digi's site.. but i DON'T think that Logic Express will recognize any interfaces from digi.. Logic itself definitely will, but express is truncated watered down version of logic....

Re: elastic Pitch Question

I'd try using melodyne, or something other than an audio suite.. the pitch shifter in elastic audio is going to screw with any natural harmonics, and yes, sound flat and dead.. I use IZotope's...

Re: Pro Tools 101 exam

Took the 101 two nights ago, failed, but at the end of the test, it said "39 out of 45", then my email said, "39 of 50" so, I think there could be a glitch in the grading method employed.. I'm...

Re: Protools LE and the fight of its life?

Just remember, just because it's cheap doesn't always mean it's the best way to go. You sacrifice having halfway decent pre's interface and plugin processing power, just because a DAW can sort of do...

Re: Protools LE and the fight of its life?

I've always found Reason to ... (hate to say it) ...pretty much suck, I mean from an audio quality standpoint. There's an obvious noisefloor issue in every version of reason, it's plugins don't...

Re: PT LE fails to launch

I know on Macs, if you installed the melodyne plugs first, or the reason adapted plugs first you may have issues with it crashing when it sees the component part...

Re: Certifications are coming ... Brain Dumps anyone

After taking 101 last night, which I barely missed (re-take is on thursday), I discovered that at the end of the test, it said you got 39 of 45, but my email sent by digi says I got 39 of 50... which...

Re: Process an existing track out to external preamp??

You technically wouldn't need to s/pdif it, you could simply route the insert like any rack gear.. select I/o and the output of your device-to-external preamp, but make sure to pad the incoming...

I'm absolutely loving PT8, I'm considering getting Micro just so I can work on my laptop in between classes here at Full Sail.

I've also been rewiring all my old Logic sessions...
