FWIW I never could record audio to Windows. I went to Mac and have had great success... at least, it works. So that MAY be a consideration.

Hi, John. The Yamaha wouldn't make a difference since I'm using the Clarett interface but it's working now. Just had to check "MIDI thru" under "options" which isn't in the "detailed" instructions....
