Re: Upcoming Price Adjustments

If you bought it from a reseller, the 1 year support plan clock only starts ticking from the moment you register your perpetual Studio purchase to your avid account. So yes, up to you.

Re: 2024.3.1 Midi recording delay (Latency??)

Sounds to me like they’ve been trying to implement something workaround-ish with the midi effects, on top of an already broken ADC for midi-beatclock dependent events. Hope it’ll be fixed at the...

Re: PT 2024.3.1 Bounce Issues

Well if it was in sync before 2024.3.1 , easiest solution would be to install 2024.3 again . If you want to get the mix done in 2024.3.1 , best would be to import the out of time VI’s in a blank...

Re: PT 2024.3.1 Bounce Issues

It’s the VI’s 100%. Did you disable plugin delay on (some of) those tracks because they contain arpeggiated patches (like one note triggered patches playing a rhythmic pattern) , avid is trying to...

Re: Plugins / Delay Compensation / Timing / Downbeat [PT-263943]

Awesome you made some test sessions for AVID. at the same time, I gave them such test sessions about 6 years ago, at that point it already existed for years. Nevertheless I have hope they are able to...

Re: Upcoming Price Adjustments

If you don’t rely on the added plugins being part of an active subscription like I do, it’s a very clever option to eventually compensate yourself for the $100 price increase :)

Re: Plugins / Delay Compensation / Timing / Downbeat [PT-263943]

Same for CableGuys Kickstart 2. But waves pumper, LFO tool and all my virtual instrument arpegiated patches are still getting out of time.

Re: Plugins / Delay Compensation / Timing / Downbeat [PT-263943]

To add to what Peer says and to factor out third party plugins perhaps not reporting delay back to Pro Tools properly, easy steps to reproduce:

- create audio track and generate sine wave, insert...

Re: Plugins / Delay Compensation / Timing / Downbeat [PT-263943]

Hi! didn't receive your email somehow, but thanks for reaching out already. Also, just downloaded and installed PT 2024.3.1 and unfortunately the delay compensation issues for both plugins like LFO...

Re: Upcoming Price Adjustments

I won’t take the risk, and only use it when your plan is about to enter its grace period. On a side note, there’s no reinstatement fee anymore. Though I downloaded that sonic drop shizzle I didn’t...

Re: Upcoming Price Adjustments

Yes and next to that, most dealers always have a little sharper price than AVID has. Moreover, as you say, when bought from a reseller you can save the code and use it later on.

Re: Can TB3 be the only connection to the Mac?

mmm perhaps then it's a feature in Pro Tools with LLM enabled, like, if Pro Tools knows the session delay is 8000 samples, and you'll use hardware monitoring, it 'knows' to print the audio clip 8000...

Re: Can TB3 be the only connection to the Mac?

Interesting topic to read:) actually always wondered what wizardry made it happen that when overdubbing with an Apollo (monitoring through console, same principle as when monitoring the incoming...

Re: Mtrx ii

Why on earth did you purchase a MTRX II when you don’t have or use HDX already. The AX64 with TB3 host connection by default in the main chassis would have saved you $3000 upfront with roughly saving...

Re: Upcoming Price Adjustments

No. You read it wrong. What it literally says is that the new price will only go into effect upon renewing your current plan. So if you renewed yesterday for $399 it will be only from April 2025 that...

Re: Upcoming Price Adjustments

Well 2 things: businesses relying on pro tools don’t look at a $100 more or less.
Second thing: AVID introducing this price change less than a month before going into effect is just brutal and very...

Re: Upcoming Price Adjustments

Agreed that’s kinda confusing. However, it’s already confirmed that if you buy a new plan after may 1st it’ll be $100 more. Perhaps with the only exception of dealers still having ‘current stock’ of...

Open the session, choose File > save copy as

Now you can check all audio and video files in the boxes and make sure the copy of your session contains every bit that is present in the session.

Just googled it because wanted to know the same. As opposed to renewing from avid directly (in which case the plan starts immediately with the bug thing going on) when you buy a perpetual renewal...

Re: Upcoming Price Adjustments

There are some significant bugs -still- that take years and years meanwhile. Just take a look at the sticky section over here. Perhaps it’s not a bug that bugs you, but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t...
