Ok. I'm closer to solving the problem. If I click on any other track I lose the multiple CC lanes in the docked midi editor. If I then click on the target track that I originally saved the window...

Well...It seems window configurations do not save multiple midi CC lanes. Don't understand why not. Seems like it was overlooked. Bummer.
