Mac Dual 2.0 G5 Setup, running like [bleep]

Hi,
I am looking for any help to set up my mac dual 2.0Ghz G5 to run pro tools hd better.
The computer has 2GB of ram, but still stops and studders when I run some of the plug in instruments...

How do I hook up external effects to the control 24 and make them work? I'm working with and Apple dual 2.00 G5, and pro tools hd with 1 192.

Hi thanks for the help.

I tried the midi set up first of all, and set up the korg.... but still nothing. I am very new at using Mac, and have been using for PC for years.... so I am very confused...
