Re: mbox 2 with ableton live?
I've tried that. Hmm, I don't know what about my laptop could be the problem. It's not like I need the specs required to run PT, right? I'm just trying to use the interface with ableton, which works...

Re: mbox 2 with ableton live?
I can't get ableton to recognize my mbox2. I continuously get Faled to open the audio device "ASIO Digdesign Driver Mbox2" no matter what drivers I install. Anyone have any suggestions?

mbox 2 with ableton live?
Hey. I have ableton live 8.04 and was wondering if there was a way to use my mbox 2 without having pro tools installed on my computer. Thanks.

Oh I wasn't singling out a certain drive on that page. I was just wondering if any one of those would work. I currently have 286 free GB on my laptop.

Can you tell me how to do that? Just in advance, I'm pretty sure there's nothing I can do. No card slot. No firewire. It seems like a lost cause.

I'm just going to go for it because I literally have no other options. Any of you doing this having success? How many tracks can you use in a session and how is mixing going for you?

Good to hear. If Gateway can't provide me with an internal HDD, I'm going to have to go with USB. What external HDD are you using btw?

Re: Second HDD help (no firewire)
Thanks. And by "doesn't work", do you mean it straight up won't do anything and I'll get buffer errors just as frequently as I am now, or will it give me some leeway? I guess there's no way for you...

I guess I could. Does that take up your DVD bay for good and do I have to have a certain one? That sounds tricky.

Second HDD help (no firewire)
Just bought this laptop about a month ago. It doesn't have a firewire port nor does it have a card slot that will take a firewire card. How in the hell can I use a second drive for recording?
