Did you read what I wrote? Again: Logic and Ableton run 8-10 Virtual-Instruments and about 10 Audio-Tracks with plenty effects at 128 and even 64 Samples-Buffer without any hickups the whole day!!

Well, the session has 3 Xpand tracks and a drum loop, no effects. The CPU-meter shows 5%, but the audio stops every couple seconds and you get all kinds of noise, crackle and pops.

If 2GB and 2GHz...

I know the difference between audio and midi :-)
What I don't understand is:

Logic and Ableton running on the exact same hardware (incl. Audio-Interface), but they both operate with 64 Samples...

no one got any idea?? Does USB work at all for audio, could it be OSX 10.6.5?
Drivers seem to be targeted to 10.6.4 only.

Maybe it's time to switch....PT get's worse each version since AVID took...

Yes, I have WinXP-SP3 with the latest patches installed. The problem is not system-wide since cubase and ableton don't have that problem at all.

Tempo bug in 7.4

When I select bar 2 to 10 and change the tempo (in fixed tempo mode), recording is imposibble if you have a countoff set! PT stays in record ready mode....no click, no recording!
