Thanks for the info so far...

I turns out my guy has 2 dsp farms so the system will comprise of;

1 x d24
3 x dsp farms
3 x 888|24

(All the cards apperas to be the correct revisions)

ha! thats it! my excuse is that the transport window wasnt showing all the controls.....now it is and i have unselected the coutoff option everything is back to normal!

try dragging the IK plug from your pluggin folder (mac hd/library/application support/digidesign/pluggins) to the desktop. if pt loads, maybe the plug is corrupt.
