Re: Sudden Issue With Playback on One Session

L O L, man!
I can't believe I wasted these minutes, hours on your banale problems! My cache of time left on this planet is lessening as we speak.
No, seriously, main thing is; don't run PT on...

Re: Sudden Issue With Playback on One Session

For Gods sake, copy your session files onto a external drive of some sort! Sounds like you're not even backed up in a computer sense.

Re: Sudden Issue With Playback on One Session

I think, no I'm certain, that you should create a windows 7 boot disk (google it) and install PT8 on that. PT8 was made for W7! Then you'll have a predictable setup, and I think a good chance to...

Re: Sudden Issue With Playback on One Session

I'd say, if you try to run PT8 on W10 then expect odd things to happen! They weren't made to play toghether.

Did you try to zoom out, locate the clips, select the portion, and play?

Re: Sudden Issue With Playback on One Session

You should know that PT8 is not compatible w/W10. Not even PT10 was. I'm not saying that's your problem, but well...

Re: Sudden Issue With Playback on One Session

Do you use a mouse to select a portion of the timeline?
Also: what version PT and OS?

Re: Sudden Issue With Playback on One Session

Back then I think it had something to do with PT adding "minus time" to the timeline, to give flexibility.

I think I found a workaround, like zooming out and moving clips one hour, or something...

Re: Sudden Issue With Playback on One Session

I can remember this thing happening, but unfortunately I can't remember what was the cause, and how we fixed it. But we did...

Re: Sudden Issue With Playback on One Session

Except for the "C8", that seems like pretty much like an hour to me. I think this is solvable.

Re: Sudden Issue With Playback on One Session

If you look at min/sec, is that one hour?
If so, that might be a clue.
I remember having session start move by an hour, back in PT8/10 days.

Re: Check out my new Youtube channel - Sax in the Park

Thanks, JCBigler.
I enjoyed that.
I made it to 3.50, and I had enough.
But keep it up!
You might make it some day, who knows!

Re: Command 8 meter LED's

It doesnt make any difference.

The problem is, in a typical session, I have lots of tracks where the peak is between -42 and -12, so only the first green LED lights up on every track. That takes...

Re: Command 8 meter LED's

OK, scratch that.
A simple check with a signal generator shows me that the LEDs are perfectly accurate.
It's just that the first green led is -42db, and the next is -12. Then -6, -3(yellow),...

Command 8 meter LED's

I got a used command 8 for cheap last year, and I'm slowly getting to know it. Looking more and more like it's going to be a very nice way for me to start to enjoy PT again. I have some challenges...

Re: Which Mac

A fix, but not a fix in a real sense.
I've had to place my Mini high up on the wall so that it has direct "view" to my bluetooth devices for it to work. And "upside down" simply because the wifi and...

Re: Which Mac

You lazy b. ;););) (irony!)

Brawders, I owned a 3,1 myself and pushed it to sierra, lots of ram and ssd's. But now, I'm so happy that I got a mac mini, even though a modest one, because there are...

Re: replacement for Mbox3

I used the Apogee Duet 1. gen. for years, and all I can say is it sounds great, and I'm shure the newer version sounds at least as good. Only minus, I think is the breakout cable. Very untidy.

I...

Re: Hard drive setup questions

I would be more concerned with some other aspects of the 2012 model mini, if you mean to run any recent version of PT on it:
Is it this one?...

Re: sd2 files corrupt

I've had problems w/SD2 files a couple of times. I solved it by importing them into a audio application like Amadeus Pro, which has a "Import raw audio" function. There are other free audio apps that...

Re: When was the last Update? (meaningful that is)

It looks like to me that you're allowed to express your opinions. I think what we are reacting to is the confrontational approach you have. Let's cool down.

Re: When was the last Update? (meaningful that is)

StudioVision, i think it was…
and there was EZVision, and originally simply Vision, a basic midi sequencer.

What if you press"N" while PT is starting (the regular way to select audio engines at PT launch)?

A lot of young amateurs are getting the wrong ideas about...
