Re: S3L Venue 4.5.3 update

Sorry to resurrect, but I have the same issue.
My Avid restore stick loads 4.0.0.606, - this is fine - but I cannot get 4.5.3 from Avid as yet.
I opened a support case, but no reply so far.

Re: Pt 9.0.2 Gridlines

I've been holding off upgrading since I had a project on the go.

Re: what is maximum recording time per track?

PT as a rule doesn't like recording to more than 32 simultaneous tracks on a single disk.
Much better to use 2x disks either 1-24, 25-48, or just round-robin.

Re: Please save me!!!

One of the stock phrases trotted out every time this Native vs TDM argument rears it's ugly head is:
"Native -insert product here - is great- as long as you have a stable PC."
Whether it's Sonar...

Re: what would you do? 1 pt system with 6 cards or 2 with 3 and 3?

Remember the new Macs have PCIe slots only - the old cards won't fit.
If you get a new Mac, maybe look at a Magma PCI chassis with a PCIe card?
