I disabled those extensions, now my burner is working! Thank you very much. I still get the weird behavior in pro tools. How do I de frag ? I have pro tools on my mac drive. I never had any problems...

I went in and trashed the digi set up

I have the latest firewire drivers for OS 9.2.2
version 2.8.5

I am using PT LE 5.2.1 32 track beta

more info on my situation

when my cd burner is on when I launch pro tools I
get a message "pro tools hardware is not installed or in use by another program"

toast dosent see my firewire...

I tried that but it didnt do the the trick, I trached DAE pref and PT LE pref is there anything I misses. I recently did a firmware upgrade on my G4 400, but Im not sure if that is when my problem...
