I use an Envoice Mic Pre-amp/EQ/Tube compressor with the optional 24-bit DI mod.
This plugs into the spdif on the 001 and gives great tube tone and nice EQ

A lot of people are using the promise ATA100 cards but not sure about the RAID card.
RAID is not realy much benifit for pro tools or video capture.
