firewire drive no longer recognized

hi,

I recently updated my pro tools for use with XP service pack 2 and now am having a problem where pro tools will no longer recognize my firewire drive as an audio volume. I recall a while back...

it would be *really* sweet if you could just hover your pointer over the poster's name and the little pop-up window would appear with the specs in it. i'm sure that's a lot of work though.

this happened to me with my first digi-002. no sound from the monitor outs either. it turned out to be a defective unit and i brought it back to the store and swapped for a new one, which worked...

i'd love to get some honest criticism of this recording. it's the first thing i've recorded with my protools setup. don't have the firewire drive yet, so i just set up a session and armed four stereo...

can anyone recommend a good firewire drive for use with the digi 002?
the manual says to consult the digidesign website for compatible drives
but i couldn't find anything there.
