I don't think it's a Avid/Pro Tools issue. I use Toontrack's EZkeys 2, EZbass, EZdrummer 3 and Superior Drummer 3; all with MIDI Out and can feed it to other VI's in PT.

apparently we did not try with AFP correctly before, since turning SMB off in the Sharing Preferences on the Mac Pro 1 with the drive attached makes it work as normal.

Well, EZplayer Pro isn't 64-bit AAX yet but I have indeed enabled the MIDI Out in EZkeys and driven the Mini Grand and the DB-33 successfully, so I can't see why it shouldn't work for other...

I think the above posters are referring to the EZmix and Superior Drummer 2 AAX updates. An EZdrummer AAX update has not been released yet.
