For us, it's 2 Macbook Pros on HDNative Thunderbolt, and one Macpro with HDX. All running current versions. Application Manager NEVER finishes "initializing" on any of those. Maybe it's a conflict...

The only reason, in my opinion, to record at a sample rate lower than 96k is if your hardware doesn't allow it. That could be for several reasons: 1) It just doesn't support higher rates ... or 2)...
