The only use I could see this being is if you wanted to post your songs on myspace, in which I do Keys original suggestion and just use Itunes to convert the songs from .wav to .mp3.

As far as PT is concerned why not just upgrade to 8.03? It's better than Cakewalk in my opinion. As far as using digi products with other DAWs it can be done but it's not really recommended.
