You should have a serial number or authorization code from wherever you bought it. Then you have to put that code in the License manager (Applications/ Cedar/License Manager)

Then it will work.

You have lots of options....

Putting it all on the same NIC shouldn't be an issue, but you can get a USB to Ethernet adapter or even a Thunderbolt to Ethernet adapter if you prefer to split them...

Have you tried watching activity monitor and more specifically the memory usage while you're ProTools system suffers from these errors? If Pro Tools meets or exceeds approximately 2.6 GB of memory...
