FYI we just ordered two new MacPros which shipped with Mojave and it was a simple thing to download and install High Sierra.

2018.7 has been working with High Sierra for quite a while. Avid's blessing doesn't add anything of substantive value, unless users are reporting fewer bugs with 2018.12, but I've not sensed that.
