You have an AD converter at the beginning of the signal chain inside the 11R. There's no escaping that one. When the signal leaves the unit, it goes through a DA converter.

I use mine with the AES connection to an HD192. I think it sounds better that way as well. No reason to go from digital to analog and back to digital again if you don't have to.

That's not what I think of when I ponder bloom. Bloom happens when you have an amp really cranked and you hit a chord or note with enough bass content to stress the power supply and cause it to sag...

Yes. The problem is there in the 1.03 firmware but exaggerated in the 2.0 firmware on the same patches.
