Has anyone here started getting Pro Tools sessions from Media Composer instead of the classic AAF?

A few times esp on music tracks I see something strange. Just before a fade there will be a gap...

I feel the same pain. When doing a cut down of a film on 5.1 stems there is a lot of valuable screen realestate in the edit window with no audio information.

Not sure about the os running on the NAS.

There is no question that the media (audio files folder) is located only on the NAS.

The ptx file I was using for the test was 11mb.

When editing dialogue I drag clips up and down on different tracks constantly to tidy up the session and reduce the insane amount of tracks...

I got the Symphony and Stratus installers working after I updated to Mac OS 12.3, the new 2022.4 version of PT and the newest Ilok drivers.

YMMV of course.

Wow! Good catch!

Yeah, it seems to be kind of related, though I am getting more like white noise than beeps.

The session is 24/48. Same as the aaf.

ok. So you set up the mac audio driver to send 5.1?

Never seen that done.

I am on pc, and I tried, but couldn't figure out how to tell the driver that it should out put more than two channels....

I'm stuck at home working, and am looking into a way to use my home theatre for simple editing.
It does not unfortunately have 5.1 analog inputs. Only HDMI or optical/ electrical AC3 for surround.

So I got help from Lars from Izotope
The fix was a classic. Delete the prefs.
Doh.

In my defense the installation was so new it shouldn't have been necessary yet. :p

Yes i have gone through the list.
Hyper threading is t.ex off, but doesn't really seem to matter.

There is a difference between what I was describing and what you said.


Maybe I misunderstood...
