Regards the hard drive, I am not recording, what I am doing is simply using my PC as a guitar effects processor with the mbox as an audio interface.

Unparking all 8 cores makes no difference.

Hi All,

I have recently purchased an mbox 3.

I am using it to connect my electric guitar to my laptop.

My laptop specs are as follows:
Win 7 64bit
8gig ddr III
i7 @ 2.0ghz

too big/expensive for me :)

As long as it does not lag (even when playing shred) and give good sound then i'm happy.
