You could work in Ambisonics if your familiar with it. There the output format is independent since its "scene" based, not channel based. With the right decoder you can address any speaker layout.

To be fair, Altiverb 7 came out in 2015 and updates were free so far. Altiverb 8 will feature IRs for Atmos, they said this in a podcast. Still, I think they are a bit slow, so many reverbs for Atmos...

When they updated the audio import fame work to 64bit code the sampling rate conversion got messed up.

So you're saying it's not only the waveform but you also can't hear anything after the normalization? If it was just the waveform you could try to choose Rebuilt wave form overviews from the clip...

For 7OA there isn't even a decoder or a panner in AAX. Looks like an incomplete solution to me.
