focusrite saffire pro 24 interface.

It should also be pointed out that it has previously worked fine with the current setup.

they are just not included as a plugin pack in pT9 .. they are all missing when i open old session files in PT9.. which is quite an inconvenience tbh.

I am not sure I have a backup of my system...

I am getting a generic error message from windows which just says

"pro tools application has stopped working

a problem caused the program to stop working correctly.

using old AIR plugins in PT9

hi,

ive recently upgraded to PT9 .. however have some files with the old air plugins on tracks. I have tried inserting disk for PT8, but cannot access any option to install just the AIR plugins...

firstly.. my usb drive is 7200rpm and usb 2. But I intened to get an extra internal one anyways.

PT9 is 64 bit compatible.. but only 32bit program still. so therefore is surely limited on RAM usage. Or that is how i believed it to be.

Either way I have 6GB RAM and a quadcore 2.33MHz...

ive found i can get it working by first opening a new blank pro tools session... then within the same instance of pro tools opening the session from there... then it works.. any ideas why?

yes it works fine with everything.

It must be a setting or something within pro tools, im sure. the timebar doesn't move at all. It is not just a case of me not hearing anything.

defaulted the I/O setup and nothing has changed with regards to playback.

All tracks are routed to output 1-2. In the output tab the output 1-2 is routed to out 1 and 2 on my saffire.

no i haven't selected anything.. the wait for midi note is unselected.

I appreciate that i need to spend time with the manual but surely everything should just play upon opening. The I/O settings...
