Re: Audio delay with interface

152ms @ 44.1k is .152 * 44,100 = 6700 samples.

That's a *lot* and none of the plugins you have listed should get you there. A single aux misuse will get you 1024 samples latency at 44.1kHz (Aux...

Re: Audio delay with interface

Again the most important info is just buffer size and sample rate. You are using a 64 samples IO buffer but at what sample rate?

And you divide them and get the expected latency... which is......

Re: Audio delay with interface

You also hopefully are paying attention to proper setup. You mention Ozone 9, that's not officially supported on Pro Tools 2020 or on Catalina AFAIK. Maybe you meant 9.1 You have to pay attention to...

Re: Audio delay with interface

That's unfortunately a lot of not useful into. We especially don't care about CPU or memory specs. Ben just pointed out that memory is irrelevant. Carefully read what Ben and I are writing. Your...

Re: Audio delay with interface

This does not make sense. Starting with what exact problem are you trying to solve? Latency or playback stopping? And what stopped? What exact error did you get?

Latency is caused by the IO buffer...

Re: routing within pc

You can avoid any third party routing software by recording a file from the Windows “Stereo Mix” device and record with anything and import the audio file into Pro Tools.

Re: Manual vs Pre-Roll Punch Ins with Apollo and Pro Tools

Great, glad it worked.

Looks like something got messed up here by Avid with those changes. This makes no sense.

Re: Digi002 outputs and reamping

What exact reamp box are you using? What exact amp?

Hopefully it is a transformer isolated box if hum is an issue.

Are you using a proper balanced cable from the 002? Check the cable with a...

Re: Is my drive going to sleep?

This is an example of leaping to a conclusion instead of following standard troubleshooting steps. And anytime you have a detailed error you need to Google for that error message.

This has nothing...

Re: Which Mac

The Mini is appealing... upgrade the memory yourself, basically max it out.

The SSD is soldered to the motherboard and you cannot upgrade... so as with all Macs like this I would try to max out...

Re: drag file in, copies 2 iterations

Yep. When it happens and you have a file you can share I will try to reproduce it and may want to look at the file/file header carefully. Other obvious things are to try trashing prefs and when you...

Re: drag file in, copies 2 iterations

Oh track duplicates... that one has been around a long time. e.g. http://duc.avid.com/showthread.php?t=404923 (and more)

Do you have a file you can share that does this?

Re: drag file in, copies 2 iterations

Drag in what format and number of channel files? You mean it creates a copy in the audio folder within the session folder? That is a setting and pretty much best practice. Create additional copies...

What exact computer interface (USB 2? 3? ... ), Thunderbolt 2, 3 ... etc are you looking for? you mention USB models you are looking at but you could be giving away a little latency vs thunderbolt.

Re: Manual vs Pre-Roll Punch Ins with Apollo and Pro Tools

I suspect Pro Tools is broken. It seems to be in 2020.5 and 2020.9.1 for me. And I suspect it's a bug introduced in the new Mixing>"Allow Sends to Persist during LLM" preference introduced in 2018.7...

Re: Aggregate issue: Audio not coming through when multiple interfaces connected

Yep. Aggregate is usually more of an unreliable PITA than it is worth. And not just because of what you are seeing.

The behavior you are seeing is likely things working as expected. Pro Tools...

So you are now two pages into a thread about a problem that you jumped to assume is about SSD, I'm not following why you assumed that. How about stepping back and going through fairly standard basic...

Re: Tracks get slowed down randomly during playback

Hi welcome to DUC

Are you recording audio drums or MIDI?

There won't be a bug in Pro Tools or your computer or your setup (but thanks for the clear info there) that causes this, it is likely a...

Re: Macbook Pro 16 Inch + Dock for PT

Uh the CPUs love being cold. They don't need to warm up to perform, actually the opposite. Look at the overclocking folks playing with liquid nitrogen and other exotic coolers.

Re: Going insane with hum from patchbay units NEED Your Help!

What chassis or external power supplies you are running the Neve preamps with? That's one thing I'd be checking. And a problem there could affect all the modules.
