Logic 9 is dope, no error in 2 weeks. If you want real audio software at home go to Logic and leave MP with it's endless CPU errors.

On my imac this chain seems to work better

Imac FW800 > Profire2626 > Glyph QT5050

But still have 6101 errors and unstable Pro Fire

If anybody buy the new imac it will be cool to have some...

Don't buy an I mac for Pro Tools ! You will have lot of issues, and never trust digi requirements says that you can daisy chaining etc... dig the forum it will be more helpful.

Hi,

First never connect you're HD and you're audio interface together on the Mac FW ports, you should daisy chaining because it creates a traffic congestion due to the new Macs FW architecture.

I bought a Glypgh Hard Drive with no RAID, supposed to be the only drive approved by Digi (it was also quite expensive)

Yes there is a RAID option, don't know if you can read japanese but this HD enclosure is set to support 2 drives that's why there is a RAID switch, you can setup as mirroring / spanning or striving...

I mac FW800> HD > HD FW800 alternative out > Lacie Flat Cable > Pro Fire 2626 FW400 in

Test 1

Ok good to know that its work better with USB interface. Definitely a FW issue, anyway some guys on PC seems to have the same error, its not the 6101 but its a similar stuff and its stop playback...

Hi f.locutus, I also found an old post of Eric saying the same thing :

MacBook Pro, iMac, Mac mini FW800 Models
The FireWire 800 ports on these computers are backwards compatible* with FireWire...
