Re: Minimum Broadcast Levels

Hi fellow San Franciscan, If your below -26 you can have the producer mention it to the trafficking house to leave it for creative reasons and it should be all good.

Re: Maximum number of tracks already exist for the current ProTools configuration

Ok 1024 tracks regardless of being on or not? I ran out of time to look into it today but should have time tomorrow, I’m going to try it in a new session. It seems like something Avid tech support...

Re: Maximum number of tracks already exist for the current ProTools configuration

Thanks I’ll look at that on Monday. I looked earlier and it seemed like there was still a bit of room but not tons on the dsp usage. If I delete some inactive tracks I can add new tracks but I’d...

Maximum number of tracks already exist for the current ProTools configuration

"Maximum number of tracks already exist for the current ProTools configuration"
Has anyone gotten this error before? I've never seen it and Avid support doesn't know anything about it either. I...

Re: Very Odd Sync issue, HD 11.3.2 - Bounces Arrive early?!

Does it happen when doing an offline bounce and realtime or only in 1 situation? I print internally so don't deal with bounces much but was curious if might be a buffer or disk issue.

Re: ADR Setup and Workflow

I rename the stereo record track with the cue number before each new cue. I'll usually record the boom left, lav right.
I also have a select and alt track and then 15 tracks that are inactive...

Re: Sorry... yet another loudness query.

I'm not sure if the EBU spec has something similar but the ATSC/85 spec we use in the US has a room size chart with ideal monitoring levels for each size room as well as some voice test files that...

Re: Sorry... yet another loudness query.

Well said, that really is the only common sense thing to do. Just mix to the spec, I think all of us would much rather know how its going to sound leaving our room than rely on the trafficking house...

Re: Sorry... yet another loudness query.

Most ad traffic houses we work with will just turn your spot down to be within the spec. I would just ignore the PPM meters and mix to be within the specs provided.

Re: Radio broadcast sample rate

I always work at 48K since thats what any session with picture will be at and you don't have to change any clocking. 95% of the time the delivery is slated and unslated MP3 files.

Re: PT 11.3 30fps video playback

Turns out the AVE was having a hard time playing back the file because of the size. Kinda frustrating since processor load was super low and the file played back fine in quicktime - but by shrinking...

PT 11.3 30fps video playback

Hi has anyone run into this issue?
I'm playing ProRes LT 30fps video in a 30fps project. Video seems to run slow and after a few seconds sound seems to be coming in ahead of picture. I need to...

Re: Cannot play video from network drives

I ask because 1 facility I work from has a Facilis Terablock that has always worked great for me. When building new rooms they decided to wipe and reformat everything as multi user partitions. It...

Re: Cannot play video from network drives

What's the format of the network drives? I noticed that sessions that would play back fine on 10 using network drives give permissions issues and other random hangs/errors/can't save when working...

Re: Editing SFX into a marked region on the timeline?

I think they have a trade up program at Soundminer where you get a credit towards more expensive versions.
