If the MBOX2 is properly installed, and connected, it should show up as an audio interface on your system regardless of having PT running or not. Same applies to MIDI. What I am not sure, though, is...

I can't think why it wouldn't work, if you have the Mbox installed properly it shows up on your system audio configurations, and hence it should be available for any audio program you might...

Normally you'd pay for a single upgrade, install it on both computers and just move the iLok to whichever computer you're planning to use. That's what I did, anyway.
