Re: Arturia V Collection 6

No issues here, took all of about 10 minutes to DL and install the updates.

Re: How let MIDI use my own audio

Re: No 3rd party instrument plugins for Pro Tools First?

Thanks so much for this clarification, appreciate that!

Working now on freeing up space for the full version.

No 3rd party instrument plugins for Pro Tools First?

Long & short of it:
I got a macbook pro that doesn't quite have the resources to take the full version of Pro Tools like what I have on my iMac, so I installed Pro Tools First, but I'm having a heck...

Re: Doing a two-computer workflow (desktop and laptop) - anyone do this?

Figured it out, got it installed, but my hard drive doesn't have enough space to open any sessions from dropbox.
Now to get an external hard drive for it.

Re: Doing a two-computer workflow (desktop and laptop) - anyone do this?

I'd like to mirror my Macbook Pro to mimic my 27" iMac so I can do some minimal remote recording, or just create midi files in an existing Pro Tools session since I have my Macbook and my Arturia...

Re: Midi or audio!?

One stereo instrument track bussed to one stereo audio track.
Record the audio as you are recording the midi.
If you're satisfied with the performance, freeze or inactivate the midi track, that way...

Re: Midi or audio!?

+1, always good to have a backup plan, and even if the performance wasn't perfect, if it captured the vibe that you were aiming for, that's still progress.

Good AAX compatible Choir plugin?

Can anyone suggest?
A friend on another forum suggested Soundiron Olympus, Cinesamples Voxos 2 and Storm Choir 2, but I know he uses Cubase, so I don't know if any of these are PT/AAX compatible.

Re: Arturia announce free plug-in: MiniFilter V

Working fine in mine, I really like it, I ran through the presets when I was beta testing it, and tried in on a drum track, bass track, and some guitar tracks.

Inspired some very useful...

Re: Arturia users beware

I'm still on El Capitan & I have not experienced this.
Mine are functioning well.

Re: Arturia V Collection 5

It's my "go to" for about everything but organic orchestral.
If it's an analog synth in character, I go no place else but the V-5.

Re: I Love Pro Tools

I'm satisfied as well.

Even though I'm still on 12.4 mainly for financial reasons, it's functioning flawlessly for me and I'm very pleased.

Re: Who thinks AVID should sell Pro Tools to some other company???

This has been my experience as well, and I really haven't had any bugs as opposed to a slight learning curve coming from Sonar on the PC to Pro Tools on the Mac, which I would expect some learning...

Re: From PC to MAC...

So, it's safe to update to Sierra?
I've been hesitant until receiving the "go ahead" from this forum.

I'm on PT 12.4

Re: 27" iMac slow editing

Care to share more?
I received an Apple OS Update notification through the App store to update from El Capitan to Sierra, but am reluctant to do so unless I know that it is safe to do so.

Re: Recommendation: Software Sampler

Spark by Arturia is ok for drums, but I wouldn't use it for any other type of sampling.

Re: Arturia Analog Lab Question

True for some, including Avid, as I was on the phone with a guy who was in Seattle, just 25 minutes from where I live.
I would venture to guess though, that due to the smaller business size of many...

of which, maybe one or two employees dabble in forum moderation, but that's not even remotely a priority in their regular duties.

I do wish they had phone support like...

Re: Arturia Analog Lab Question

I've done beta testing for them, and during the course of my interactions with them, I found that they're a reasonably small company domestically, about 26 employees, including reception/admin, so...
