It is not so hard to troubleshoot as you have already found one block of 8 inputs is not functioning.

What you need to do first is disconnect any other interfaces but leave one of those you "know"...

Also remember the last PT version that supports MIX cards was 6.4.1 which requires OSX Panther or Windows XP -- be sure your hardware is supported on those ancient OS, otherwise you are out of luck...

Slightly off-topic, but you are referring to "classic" as being PT8 or later. Some of us remember "classic" as PT6/7 or even PT5/earlier.
