Yeah, but problems from 10.5 had carried over into 10.6 when I installed it so I just used the boot disks that came with my computer. And yeah, I know snow leopard isn't qualified, but i haven't...

Well, I checked all the permissions; I had read + write privileges on all of them...so after a while, and realizing that I have some free time, I just decided "what the hell, I'll reinstall my OS." ...
