Also google the infamous 002 power harness issue. If the unit does not work you may be able tonfix it yourself

Again, 00x family drivers are here (https://avid.secure.force.com/pkb/articles/download/Digi-002-003-Drivers). Latest version that supports 002 (tested) is 10.3.3 that added support for Mt.Lion

You always need to try if it works for you or not. With that said Rack version is more likely to be usable longer as it only has the interface, without control surface. What I have heard there will...
