For me, its no contest: Music on the PC sucks. Macs do "ROOL".

I had everything on the PC. OASYS-PCI and ProTools never worked quite right. Logic flaked all the time. SoundDiver never worked.

Check your AppleTalk. I was having a problem with this error until I manually turned off AppleTalk (instead of relying on OMS to do it). I also turned off the File Update extension.

Actually, it could be a RAM problem. I'm assuming you're not running the beta of PTLE on XP.

Windows ME/98/95 can choke on Memory over 512 MB. You may want to scale down to 512MB, set a fixed disk...

Experience it all the time with my Korg OASYS installed. No OASYS, no problem - seems to be a conflict with the PCI bus. Korg says they are aware of the problem but can't get digi hardware to test...
