Yep, I'm still having this problem, if anything it's worse, it used to be that if I closed it as soon as it opened I'd be okay but now it restarts itself everytime.

No error message. If I close Pro Tools as soon as it reboots it's fine, if I leave it a minute or so then it will try to restart if I close it.

Can't close Pro Tools

Whenever I try to close down Pro Tools it restarts automatically. Tried trashing prefs but still does it.


Latest version but did it on the previous one as well.



Any ideas?

I got some response from facebook messenger with PSP. They were asking if I used Soundtoys stuff, which I do, all of it, as others had reported conflicts.
It's interesting that you mention Slate...

PSP are just ignoring me now as well so I can't see a fix coming anytime soon.
But yeah, bad form from PSP.

I don't think it's related to overclocking, I have been in the past but the system...

Check that the plugins have actually updated, the plugin manager doesn't always seem to wipe over stuff that had previously been installed manually. Also clear the wavecache for the project.

Assertion errors moving Audio/MIDI regions around in 12.8.2

Anyone else struggling with assertion errors since moving to 12.8.2 on Windows 10?

Moving audio and MIDI regions around can cause assertion errors and I'm having to nudge audio around instead...

Good hunting. The VMR thing makes sense to me, there will definitely be instances of it in my unstable sessions I had problems in the PT10/32 bit days with VMR and Soundtoys not playing together...

Avid have told me they've "escalated" my case and are in contact with PSP, I'll post if I hear anything useful.
I haven't really gotten anything useful from PSP, they said they were aware of AAX...

I wonder if it's a conflict somewhere, there's a lot of Plugin Alliance, Soundtoys and Slate stuff in most of my sessions.

Glad to hear I'm not alone. I've been talking to PSP and Avid about it but I've not got anywhere yet. I've just had to abandon all PSP stuff for now.

So I've moved over from Mac to Win10 in the past few months and found that every single PSP plugin I've got (VintageWarmer 2, Fetpressor, Springbox, NobleQ, The EMT reverb demo as well)...

Yeah, I have issues when turning a dial with Fetpressor as well. I usually get an assertion error though.

PT Crash Changing sample rate

On Win 10, PT 12.7.1, Motu 16A I'm getting crashes every time I try to move between sessions at different sample rates.
Even if I close Pro Tools, then try to load session at a different sample...
