ram allocation

so I'm in os 9 and iv just upgrade my ram from 192 to over a gig 1.18g so how do i use this to increase the performance of my g4 4oomhz running 001 with 5.1 le?

or is the cpu cause a bottleneck...

so the 001 the 002 and the mbox will all work with os 10.3 are their any other soundcard/interface options that will work seamlessly with PT on 10.3 with midi????? thanx

mac os 10.3

my mates just got a new g4 running 10.3
he needs software and a soundcrd/external to get started
Im pushing him to protools of course but wanna know the best/ cheapest solution for his situation

my first mixes sounded thin to my ears
even compred to rough mixes i'd done to tape
then i compared the two side by side switching from tape to cd and found my ears had been playing trix on me...

when i first started i'd just cut on the bar and edit the transients with the pencil tool till i realised i was editting the base file

but after a while you do get the hang of the zooming...

can any one tell me........
I have ptle v 5.0.1 and didn't down load the d-verb straight away [ie ' a year ago]' is the d-verb 1.8 version, for v 5.1 compatible????

spd 20 drum trigger

i'm using a roland spd20 percussion pad to input midi into protools... its going in off the pads ok but the optional kick drum trigger is not getting sent into the sequencer... any ideas????

are you talking of syncing midi clocks? if so try going into the midi or oms preferences
