Yea.........Win2k needs to be supported now...
Whistler is way too far away to wait for and NT 4 is Sooooooo out of date.

Also, What is this that I heard that RAID systems won't work in PT???? ...

I will leave Digi before I leave my PC....
My G4 crashes way too much and can't compare to the raw power of my PIII 933....
Host-based programs like Nuendo are smacking...

I got rid of all my MOTU hardware due to the lack of Win2000 or NT drivers....
They can't write a windows driver to save their butt.....
Bought a RME Hammerfal Audio card and a new Midi Man Sport...

Go Nuendo.........I switched over......
Faster........Smoother......Just plain Better....Plus it can run on a laptop if needed....

Most of those new 5.1 features were in Nuendo...

If you are a working studio. PT is a good stable way to go.

If you want a program that runs smoother/faster and has way more options and flexibility. Then Nuendo is king. PT is getting a bit...

Does it send out Midi Timecode when you nudge the cursor frame by frame........??
Or does it only do it while the transport is playing.........

Unfortunatetly, Compaq's are probably the worst CPU, out of the box, that you could get. HP's are second....

Nuendo is superior for Music Production...
Still missing a few things for doing POST..
I've been beta testing it for 3 months....
It is so amazing!!!
It has some quirks, but it runs way smoother...

MAC's are way less stable than NT......
5 crashes last night on my G4....
NT guys have told me that they crash only around once a month if that.....
