I've just installed the Belkin USB 2.0 5-Port PCI Express Card. It was 50 GBP from Amazon.

Didn't help at all. Still getting 9136.

Updated up to 7.3.1cs7. With the MBox 1...

Updated up to 7.3.1cs7.

With the MBox 1 connected to the back right socket (Closest one to the edge of the case) I get -9014.

Changed the USB cable and connected the MBox 1 to the bottom front...

Yeah,

As long as any mixing or processing takes place, you should dither, whether it is to a 16 bit file or 24 bit file - marks no difference.

There has been a bug in versions prior to 7.3.1cs4...

Yes, this is exactly the installer which lead to PT not launching. The MBox already had the v22 on it, buy the way. I am using the original MBox cable, it is connected directly to the USB...

I had the same problem with 10.4.11, MBox 1, and LE 7.3.1cs6; While trying to solve it I reinstalled Pro Tools and the Firmware of the Mbox and now I don't get -9136 anymore - Pro Tools simply won't...

Yeah,

This is a bit of an odd one from Pro Tools. You would think it would first look under the subfolders of the created project. I guess that the sense behind this is to show all possible links...

Could you try to assign all your tracks to a stereo bus, create a master fader and choose that bus, then see if the meter works?

The files that you see on the drive, do they have meaningful names (like Audio1_01.wav) or is it gibberish (like zyhdjdjfj).

If its a meaningful name than the (empty) header...
