BY inserting LTC, you mean an audio track with timecode in the SDI stream ?
You can use an audio to SDI box (for example the Blackmagic audio to SDI mini converter), put your SDI stream and the LTC...

Most of the picture QC tools (Venera, Baton, VidChecker...) can also check some audio characteristics, but AFAIK, none are able to decode LtRt. They usually just verify loudness, silence, clicks......

Nope… Surround has been there from ProTools version 5.1, and you had surround with 24Mix, HD and HD Accel hardware. Meetrandeer has an Accel system, so it's surround capable.
