Re: mac mini for location recording

Thanks for the reply. I'm trying to keep things as cheap as possible, I don't foresee doing a bunch of location recording requiring 12 to 16 simultaneous tracks.

Masterlink files

Does anyone know what files and CDR format an Alesis Materlink reads? I know it's 24 bit but don't know if it's interleaved. Also will it read a CDR burned as a data disk.
Thanks,
Marty

Re: 10.3.9 LE6 unexpected quit

If you open the crash report, the first lines may list an offending plugin. Repair disk permissions and follow the procedures listed in "troubleshooting" in this category.

You may want to check if your ilok drivers are current or do a search on the answerbase for "pt unexpectedly quits" . I had this problem once and had to create a new user account.

Re: External HD Setup

You don't really have to do anything. You launch the program and at setup save the session to the FW drive. The drive must use an Oxford chipset and be formatted HFS+ (I think).

I'm thinking of upgrading from 6.3 to 6.7 and was wondering if there was a loss in plugin count. I'm using a

Re: sibelius

Not audio. Finale will allow you to play a monophonic instrument (sax, voice, trumpet) with a click track into the program, but I don't think there is any program that will transcribe a mix.
