Re: 10.7.1 + 9.0.5 + iChat = Crash on Startup

Have you tried the following workaround steps?

Workaround steps:
Remove iChat from starting up automatically

Re: Why do we have to pay Avid to stop being mediocre?

Fully agree. Being a PT9 buyer I feel kinda dumb. I bought it almost a year after it was released because it was so buggy I didn't dare buy it before. And then less than a year later (for me less...

Re: PT 10 Amnesty (I got screw*d)

Re: PT 10 Amnesty (I got screw*d)

I am also very unhappy about the amnesty period. I missed it by 3 days.

Re: 10.7.1 + 9.0.5 + iChat = Crash on Startup

Wow, that sucks for me. I have bought Pro Tools 9 just 3 days before the eligibility cutoff for free PT 10.

Re: Upgraded to 9.0.5 and now missing connection to my 003

Ok, I don't really know the 003 I would have thought it would have to light up from the drivers alone - but awesome that you were able to solve it :)

Re: Upgraded to 9.0.5 and now missing connection to my 003

Edit: Never mind, it not booting up must clearly be a driver or connectivity issue...

Re: PT9 old interface compatibility?

Original Mbox is not supported.

For the Mbox 2 and 3 Series you can download drivers - they are optional and not included with Pro Tools anymore.

I imagine it's the same with the Digi 002, but...

Re: 10.7.1 + 9.0.5 + iChat = Crash on Startup

No matter which device I choose in System Preferences, it has no effect on this problem.

I have tried setting Pro Tools to both Aggregate I/O and Mbox 2, both cause the Start-Up issue as described...

Ok I have found out the following additional info:

If I go to Audio MIDI Setup and change the Pro Tools Aggregate I/O Audio Devices and deselect the internal "Built-in" sound cards, then Pro Tools...

Re: 10.7.1 + 9.0.5 + iChat = Crash on Startup

This is posted for three reasons:
So that Avid will know about this bug and they can fix it.
So that other people can confirm that this happens as described on the given configuration.
So that...

10.7.1 + 9.0.5 + iChat = Crash on Startup

I can reproduce this to 100% on two differently configured computers.

On Mac OS 10.7.1 with Pro Tools 9.0.5 installed:
It works fine as long as iChat hasn't been started.
When I start iChat...
