Re: Any rumors.. Control24? + IDEAS

About expandibilty - Since you can't really see more than 24 channels on the screen anyway, I don't think it's much of an issue unless you are tracking more than 24 channels at a time which I never...

Re: New Pro-Tools Controllers

Re: Who\'s going for HD Accel?

What are you guys complaining about? You don't have to move. If you were going to add a process card though you can upgrade to accel for the cost of a process card. I'm doing it. Oxford plugs on...

It's not a bad deal for HD folks either. Twice the processing power for less than the cost of a process card.

Re: DRUMS

This is personal preference of course. I don't even mic the snare bottom for most things. Most snares used in Alt rock have a high pitch if not a piccallo. The top will get what you need. I like...

Re: 001 to HD System

I run an HD3 on a G4/550 and I have no problems so I think that your 350 is probably fine. Most of the processing will be done on the Digi hardware. Make sure you have fast disk and video...

Re: Thinking About Buying a HD2! Questions thought!

About MIDI - I find that the MIDI is just fine. I have Logic and used to use it all the time before HD. I never upgraded Logic because I thought that the MIDI implimentation was much improved in V6...

If it's just for the time being, use one of the kits on your keyboard.

Re: Everything gets better untill I start recording Vox

Let me take a swag at this. By any chance, is the vocal the only track that is using the room? Many times a vocal sound very different when everything else is direct in except the vocals. It sounds...

Re: Control24 and digi001

Ian, There are a number of folks using LE with C|24 and 001. I wonder whether the rack 002 would be a better choice with a C|24.

Re: Tested Mic Pre\'s....

For warmth I'd go with the BA1272. I just finished a session 5 minutes ago with a U87 and I just love it.

But you really can't go wrong with any one of your choices. For a rental rig, the Avalon...
