Re: Audio editor for PT?

If you consolidate the region you're working on, and just open the file in your external editor, it should update the file in PT once you save the file. I don't know if the waveform will redraw until...

Re: Unexplainable misfortune. PLEASE HELP!

What PIs are you using? Some plugins are 'noisy' even when nothing is running through them.

Also, when you say peak meter, are you referring to the red square at the top of the meter? Or are you...

Re: I/O out of order

If you are importing an I/O setup into a session that already has bus/output assignments, it will keep the previous assignments, and create duplicates, and often in the wrong place. Awesome design....

Re: MAJOR delay compensation problem! Very strange!

In regards to whether it's being worked on... all I can say is I hope you're right... but I'm cautiously reserved.

Re: MAJOR delay compensation problem! Very strange!

No it's still not fixed. And likely will never be fixed. Apparently audio quality isn't at the top of Avid's priority list, nor does it "qualify for a cs update" according to DigiTechSupport.

Re: AC-7 DAW controller

Update: Colin got me set up and now everything works pretty well. Still getting the HUI can't connect message, but I just permanently cleared it, and it's working pretty well. Can't wait until the...

Re: AC-7 DAW controller

Hey, I sent an e-mail to your support address. I'm having many issues with the software (maybe just one?). The most pressing issue is the fact that every time I launch AC-7 from my iphone, DSMidiWifi...

Hybrid Vaporizes 8.0.3

Awesome.

I launched PT worked for about 20 minutes setting up a session. Loaded hybrid. The PI window was blank. I tried to deactivate the PI, PT vaporized. I went to the sweetwater to see how...

Re: What would you speculate the next release of PT HD software will offer

There will be 6 more MIDI edit windows, but still none of them will line up correctly with the standard edit window. They will force you to have to view it regardless of you wanting to close it. It...

Re: Protools Hd and c24 board newb!

You'll probably find it pretty unsettling at first that you can't use RTAS PIs on rec enabled tracks unless you have a TDM PI in front of it.

Re: Protools Hd and c24 board newb!

Anybody else here take issue with the random 1-3 HW output the C|24 requires? How about the hardware switch for the DI inputs that renders the mic and line inputs unusable even when the DI jack is...

Re: PT 8.01 and BFD2.1 build 47 CRASHES

I'm not sure how pointing out that most of the time people have a problem with PT, your response is that it isn't a problem because it's in a document somewhere doesn't serve a purpose. And...

Re: PT 8.01 and BFD2.1 build 47 CRASHES

Why was my last post deleted? And for that matter, why bother arguing with costumer's if you can just delete their posts instead of addressing them?

Re: HUGE import Session Data BUG!!!! FIX NOW!

This has bothered me as well, but I've never had the automation point appear past the end of the session. That sucks!

It's been a while since I've needed to do this, but I think you can change the...

Re: ADC Causes delay

Yes! That's exactly what I'm experiencing! The only reason I caught it was because my singer was in the control room, and we were both in headphones. I did not, however, switch ADC back on to see if...

Re: ADC Causes delay

Output is HW1-2, no busses or auxes involved.

I do have inactive tracks, so I will go through and delete the PIs and busses on them and see if that does anything. But is that a moot point...

Re: ADC Causes delay

Ok, sorry I must have either missed, or misread your earlier post. Yes, there are in fact other plugins in the session. There are actually a LOT of other Pis.

I understand what you are saying...

Re: ADC Causes delay

It was all a straight through signal. Literally the ONLY thing I changed to fix it was turn of ADC. At first I had a few PIs, and a bus, But I completely disabled (not bypassed, true disabled)...

Re: ADC Causes delay

To be honest, the only troubleshooting I did was turn off ADC, and since that fixed the problem, not much more was needed. :D

I'm back in the studio tonight, so I'll mess with some stuff and...

Re: ADC Causes delay

I'm familiar with the manual. I helped write it. :) Just not very clear on how ADC would cause a delay specifically on a record enabled track, especially if it is supposed to be suspended. If this is...

Re: ADC Causes delay

It's occurring with zero plugins instantiated, and 0ms delay indicated. I'm running through a HEARback system, but as I said before, once I turn off ADC, there is no longer any delay, so I know it's...

Re: ADC Causes delay

Ok, now we're getting somewhere. The delay occurs regardless of there being plugins or not. HOWEVER, if I set ADC to "none" the delay is gone (as long as PT let's the session relaunch properly). So...

Re: ADC Causes delay

That doesn't really explain anything. If delay compensation is suspended, there should be NO delay, correct? but the problem is that there IS delay. I'm not going to pretend to be an expert on ADC,...

Re: TDM Plugs are buggy

I disagree about Altiverb, although I can't speak directly to the TDM version. On RTAS, I've never had an issue with it except during installation it can be a trick to get IRs to show up. Otherwise,...

Re: TDM Plugs are buggy

I am aware of the TDM 24bit vs RTAS 32 FP. But shouldn't that remain a constant? Not so much a random occurrence that only happens until switching to an RTAS and then back again? The key here is that...
