So when I go to Control Panel > Sounds > Playback tab, the 11r shows up as a Speaker. In the Playback tab you can have a Default Device and a Default Communication Device and then everything else is...

Well, after a full reinstall of Windows 7, Windows updates and Pro Tools 8 through 8.0.5, Eleven Rack drivers, all of the Windows 7 Optimizations for PT, I still get the same error..."unable to...

So my new motherboard has an abundance of USB 3.0 ports and few USB 2.0 ports. I am using my 11r as my primary interface and it was plugged into a 3.0 port. Changing it to a 2.0 port fixed...

One big thing to know about the 11r is that the xlr at the back are Line level.. Not mic level. Make sure to tell the soundman that. Also for him to use little to no gain on your channel. Remember...

I'm sorry but external usb hard drives are not supported by Pro Tools.. so I would install a second internal SATA drive. They are cheap these days so it shouldn't be a problem.
