I had trouble with that initially, and I found that you have to first install the new 003 drivers, THEN install Pro Tools 9, in that order. Don't know if that's any help?

They just sent me an email explaining why I was getting a free upgrade, plus the activation code and a bunch of instructions on what to do with it. That was actually the first I knew of PT9.
