Re: Transfuser and Axiom Pro?

I'm super late to the party as usual, but as far as the pads go was this what you were looking for?

Re: Double-Click on Win7 reassigned by ProTools 8 LE?

So ironic, this exact thing happened to me for the first time literally five minutes ago. Working with it and I'll post back asap.

Re: Tired of the problems

I can't for the life of me figure out why people keep necroing a QQ post from last spring. What I can say, to help fill in the gaps from the last few comments, is that most of the problems I find...

Re: Alicia's Keys Instrument for Kontakt

Actually, from watching your participation in recent DUC verbal carnage involving NI and this instrument in particular, I think it's safe to say that yes, you indeed can name a piano that covers all...

Re: Alicia's Keys Instrument for Kontakt

This piano has worked out in several situations for me. For the price it has some killer tones. Not the ultimate do-all piano sample by any margin, but a certainly awesome option.

Re: Able To Run Large Sessions w/VIs and Samples Off A USB 2.0 Drive. Unbelieveable!

I don't have any cookies for ya because Tom and the other hobos hide them from me in a box down by the tracks.

I can, however, agree with you on the computer. They are a tough, salty beast for...

Re: Trouble with PTLE8 installation/mbox 2

I believe the best recent advice is to install the full version of 8.0.3 and go to 8.0.4 from there. You should be fine. There's always exceptions though. I have a second, trash B rig that I use...

Re: Pinnacle for ProTools Users?

AVID want ya to throw down for the DV Toolkit 2 :D Only $1300 bones. That's a lot of hobo ramen noodles there. Pass.

Adobe's Premiere Pro Cs5 looks interesting, especially as we march into the...

Re: Trouble with PTLE8 installation/mbox 2

The secondary hard drive will store your audio, you still need to install PT on the main drive with the OS. Some folks go as far as to have a 3rd drive for samples, but with what you have there I'd...

Re: Pinnacle for ProTools Users?

There's several factors here, but in my experience I've always preferred Sony Vegas as far as PC video editing goes. I've used it for ages, even back as far as Vegas Audio from Sonic Foundary and...

Re: Pro Tools LE 8.03 + Win 7 64bit

My B rig contains a business class Dell 745 and has run flawlessly since day one. All the way from Xp/7.0 to Win7/8.0.4.

I agree that the higher end or enterprise machines from many manufacturers...

Re: Ditch Reason Adapted / BFD Lite?

If you were also adding Strike and Transfuser I would say you could dump the old lite apps, but as it is you may want to hang on to them for a bit. The VI's that come with 8 are nice, but Boom only...

Re: Sweetwater - good place to buy??

Overall I recommend Sweetwater. I purchased my current rig from them and I found them to be quite helpful. The only 2 "bad" things I've ever had happened are 1. They forgot to include my Ilok when...

Re: 8.0.4 is out.

Re: 8.0.4 is out.

Finally got it rollin' on my XP rig. I did a crazy little dance, shook my fist with vigor, and it randomly fell into place and started working after x restarts and driver reinstalls. Going to play...

Re: what benefit going from 8.0 to 8.04 on xp

I've been running 8.0.1 without a hitch. Upon loading up the new build though I'm having random issues with the pc not seeing the 003, occasional lockups on the Windows and PT splash screens and...

Good point, Tom. I hereby remove all of my questions from the table, except the one about the OP exploding. Anyone who works in IT will agree that caps are the path to the Dark Side. I hope no...

Re: Wtf!!!!!

I'm practically frothing with anticipation here. Do you think the OP exploded? Are we sure tape came after the dinosaurs, or are there still chunks of pottery where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found...
