Re: Stupid DVTK Authorization

Hey Justin,

Glad to hear you're busy. :D

You need to remove the DVToolkit2.bundle file from the folder where the Pro Tools app is stored.

Hope that helps.

Re: Structure for Post/Sound Design

Yeah but I haven't really needed anything more than the Free version. That and I'm really cheap. I just discovered the Ebay deals last week, though, so I may just get it anyway.

Re: Structure for Post/Sound Design

As usual, check Ebay. I've seen just the Structure LE iLok license with out the sample license for dirt cheap. I've thought about getting it myself.

Re: Problems importing a region group

Have you tried using the Import Region Groups menu item?

File => Import => Region Groups…

Drag and Drop is great when it works, but I think sometimes the Pro Tools database can get weird.

Re: Audio editing software fro mac

I like to use Amadeus Pro from Hairersoft to edit my field recordings. It takes a little getting used to, but it does the trick for the most part.

Re: warning: 8.0.1 breaks conform apps

When I download Assemblerator from the Maggot site, I get version 1.0, which is what I had. I see the update for Conformalizer, but not Assemblerator. Am I missing something?

Re: warning: 8.0.1 breaks conform apps

Hey Justin, any chance you're going to make an update for Assemblerator? It seems to be affected by this bug as well.

Re: Why am i getting 100% CPU usage using pro tools 8? How do I fix it?

Nice answers, guys!

What is your Hardware buffer size? Eleven Free is a huge CPU hog, so it will always be a tradeoff between latency and the amount of real time instances that you can use. Xpand...

Re: setting key short cuts to bring audio suits up?

It's actually pretty easy to do. I use a program called Keyboard Maestro, but you can use the Keyboard Shortcuts panel in System Preferences. Just make sure that you don't use the Command key in your...

Re: What's wrong with the Smart Tool?

I pretty much use the smart tool exclusively, only needing to switch to the individual tools when zoomed way out and I don't have the resolution that I need. There's less of a chance of accidentally...

Re: slumdog dangerously loud?

I saw Slumdog at the Arclight in Sherman Oaks, which supposedly makes sure everything is up to their high standards. I also thought a lot of the FX were too loud, but not dangerously so. Especially...

Re: My first PT 8 complaint is...

Hey Justin,
I know it's not really the same, but you can press Option and Page Down on a Mac to page sideways.

Re: PT8 HD and Plugins

Don't do a Time Machine backup if your system is running decently. Time Machine will only allow you to grab files, but it doesn't clone your hard drive, which is the safest bet. If for some reason...

Re: PT 8 in the Digi store now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's the main reason that I'd rather buy the boxed version than the download.

Re: PT 8 in the Digi store now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay if it's available as a download and Sweetwater Pre-Orders should be arriving tomorrow, does that mean that it should be available locally? My dealer doesn't open for another hour.

Re: Does this mean i'm an academy award film voting member?

I just joined the Editors Guild a couple of months ago and also received a copy. I am most definitely not an Academy Member. I'm so new I'm surprised they even let me watch it on TV! :D

Re: Best way of Recording varisped mixes on the same computer?

I'm not sure if this is the same thing, but you can put the audio file into a sampler and automate the pitch function and it changes both the pitch and the speed of the file by altering it's sample...

Re: Capture Video in Pro Tools with DV toolkit
