Re: PT 7.1: Surrounded by BUGS

Yeah, it still happens when I try to print the mix within the session.

I went to my shrink today and when I told him I was surrounded by bugs he said, "GET 'EM OFF ME!!"

I'm gonna spray the...

PT 7.1: Surrounded by BUGS

Hi, anybody come across this nonsense?:

1. Using 5.1 master fader automation to trim noise at track starts puts the software into a tizzy-fit where it outputs what sounds like reverb returns in Lf...

Re: Waves version 4 and PT7.1: the truth please!

One starts to think that:

1. It's apparent that Digi will not purposely write code to render older plugins obsolete (despite hypothetical pleas by an unnamed third-party vendor to do so).

2....

Re: Waves version 4 and PT7.1: the truth please!

I mean, here's where it gets nebulous for me:

In a Waves/Digidesign collaboration, they have complete control over whether or not a software upgrade by one will render the other obsolete....

Re: Waves version 4 and PT7.1: the truth please!

So if I'm understanding this correctly:

1. Waves, Inc. claimed that their V4 software would not work in PT 7, and that those customers not enrolled in WUP would have to pay fees to receive V5...

Marello,

Just a caveat to consider when making the decision to use Pro Control to monitor 5.1:

You can set up in two modes, stereo and surround. In stereo mode, the analog inputs give you

Re: weird 192 message...

B,

This is an issue that's been driving me nuts about PT7. I've found that the system is HYPERsensitive to static electricity. When I touch or move a cable, there's always a good chance I'm gonna...

Re: Ear damage by MP3, DVD and digital television?

The potential for brain damage related to the content contained within those MP3's far exceeds any peripheral nerve damage caused by the media itself. Take a look at any "major" label's web site and...

Re: Waves Surround Bundle vs M6OOO....

Mitch I agree.

Recreating an M360 Surround Manager w/auxes, trims, time adjusters, and sends is painful.

The S360 Imager/Panner is totally flexible and does things you can't do w/the regular XY...

Strange 5.1 Master Fader Behavior When Bnc to Disk

This is a strange one:

When attempting a bounce to disk, or for that matter a bounce within the session itself, the 5.1 outputs go into this strange mode where all the outputs are jumbled, kinda...

Re: Journaled disks defragment

Riccardo,

Digi recommends using journaling I believe with OS 10.3 and up, but you should check in the technical docs. And if you read the Apple doc, it says you *might* need to defrag if you do...

Re: Journaled disks defragment

I'm curious about what you mean by pushing performance to the wall. Huge track counts/almost-full disks/cross-fades across lots of tracks?

I've never had to defrag, I've never rebuilt the desktop,...

Re: Journaled disks defragment

You shouldn't need to defrag ANY disks (from an Apple support document):

About optimization and fragmentation

Disk optimization is a process in which the physical locations of...
